Knitting Cabin Fever

15 Mar

I have noticed that I am not very good at blogging about making something, and then actually doing it.  I have a bad case of startitus that seems to get worse with spring, all I want to do is go for a stroll downtown and stop into one of my favorite yarn stores, knit up something beautiful and light for the season.  Here is what I have been eye-balling:

The Age of Brass and Steam Kerchief by Orange Flower

I can admit that I just finished knitting this in a beautiful yellow malabrigo dilk DK weight yarn (pictures pending my blocking)

Cascade Beret by Kimberly Porter

I bought some beautiful spring green yarn at my local yarn store, it was Blue Sky Alpaca Sport Weight, and I am actually getting ready to cast on this evening so there is hope this will get finished sometime soon 🙂  I don’t think I will have time to complete it by St. Patty’s day, but if I can’t wear something green, I can knit something green instead.

116-45 Basque hat in ”Karisma” with Norwegian pattern by DROPS design

It was GigiX’s version of this beret that made me want to try it here is her photo of it:

I have been looking at some of the KnitPick’s Chroma in the fingering weight.  I still have not practiced any colorwork since my N7 Mass Effect hat prototype, but this really makes me want to get going on it.

In other news I have finished my tunic….pictures to come.
